Cooperation in the field of railway infrastructure development

BAICONSToday in Bucharest, a meeting of representatives of Romanian companies in the field of planning and supervision, and the delegation of Rail Cluster SEE, was held.

In a friendly tone, concrete activities and projects were discussed in which the members of Rail Cluster SEE would have a partnership with leading Romanian companies.
European banks and institutions have allocated significant funds so that, through a series of large infrastructure projects, the region will finally be more closely connected with the rest of the continent, but the process of planning and building infrastructure is still lagging significantly behind other European regions.
Romania, as a country with the largest railway network in the region and significant capacities of the railway and logistics industry, represents an open partner to companies from Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro.

The meetings in Bucharest were supported and facilitated by the General Union of Romania’s Industrialists (UGIR). As the next step, it is planned to sign an agreement on cooperation between UGIR and BSN/Rail Cluster SEE.
The agreement will promote and enhance business connections and networking of Romanian companies with companies from the Western Balkan countries.
